Profilence enables stability analysis of Kanzi One -based infotainment systems
At the Car HMI Europe 2023 event in Berlin, Profilence and Rightware are demonstrating how the long-term stability and performance of Android Automotive infotainment systems built with the Kanzi One HMI toolchain can be analyzed in just a matter of days.
Profilence has developed technologies that model end-user behavior in laboratory conditions. Instead of collecting software quality and reliability data from fleet tests that often take weeks, OEMs and Tier 1s can get the same information in R&D laboratories in a matter of days using test rigs and the Profilence QA Suite.
The QA Suite has now been adapted to support infotainment systems built with the Kanzi One toolchain. The co-operation between the two companies provides various benefits to the automotive ecosystem:
- OEMs and Tier 1s get immediate feedback on the long-term stability and performance of their infotainment implementations.
- UIs built with Kanzi One are automatically included in the scope of quality analysis, along with the rest of the Android Automotive software stack.
- The amount and quality of QA data collected in lab analysis is superior to that available from fleet tests; the root causes of defects are identified automatically, which leads to shorter bug fixing cycles.
The solution is available to all Kanzi One customers using AAOS and can be deployed immediately with no extra integration efforts are needed.
