Profilence joins The Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA)

Detroit, MI, USA – October 10, 2023 – Profilence, the leading provider of software quality analytics solutions and services for automotive, medical, and smart devices, has joined The Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA). The company looks forward to adopting and embracing COVESA standards and contributing its vast software expertise to various COVESA groups to advance software-defined vehicles.

COVESA, formerly known as the GENIVI Alliance, has a long history of enabling collaboration and innovation in the mobility ecosystem, which includes automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and technology providers. Its work has resulted in specifications such as Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS), a syntax and a catalog for vehicle signals; initiatives to standardize automotive Android OS application framework independent of Google services; and other projects contributing to a great vehicle experience for drivers and passengers.

With roots in the smartphone industry, Profilence has helped various medical and smart device vendors enhance the long-term software stability and performance of their products since 2014. It does this with proven Quality Assurance (QA) technology and services that discovers hard-to-find defects and their root causes; issues that typically go unnoticed in traditional QA processes and may only be found after products are released to end-users.

With the complexity of software in vehicles increasing fast, Profilence entered the automotive market in 2022 and has helped OEMs and suppliers of Android Automotive infotainment systems such as HaleyTek make their software assets more robust.
